Fayyaz: Company leaders should be sacked first

Former MDP Chairperson Fayyaz Ismail has stated that before reducing the number of employees in state-owned companies, the leaders responsible for the excessive increase in staff should be sacked. The Privatization and Corporation Board (PCB) has given companies a three-month period to reduce their workforce by 33 percent. Fayyaz argued that while the PCB is now reducing staff by 33 percent under the guise of 'rightsizing', the reasons for the unmanageable increase in employee numbers must be investigated, and those responsible should be held accountable.
