Shahid: MDP members sacked to give jobs to PNC activists

Former Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid stated that the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) is being used to dismiss ordinary MDP members from their jobs and hire PNC activists. Shahid noted that while the PCB has instructed state-owned companies to dismiss 33% of their employees, under the guise of cost-cutting, ordinary employees are being laid off, families are being impoverished, and political appointments are increasing. He assured that the MDP would seek retribution for those facing such injustices in a future MDP government.
