Shifaz: Need to change government accountability structure

Former MDP Vice President Mohamed Shifaz has stated that a major change is needed to structure the state to make the government accountable. He said that without a sincere leader, the constitution is ineffective and citizens' rights cannot be protected. Shifaz emphasized the need for a significant change in the Maldives, asserting that the MDP, as a party that always brings major changes, can bring about this transformation. He believes this change will lead to economic progress and that the current president will not be able to remain in power.
