MDP Lawyers Committee member Aiku Ahmed stated that bringing to power those who locked Panadol inside the party office has consequences. Aiku said that President Muizzu is working to curtail the fundamental rights of the people, and that bills like the Media Control Bill and Gang Bill, along with other questionable laws, have been passed. He further noted that the Maldivian public now believes governments make laws to imprison and oppress them. Aiku also highlighted that government employees are not receiving their salaries, and that Vamco employees have not received pension contributions for a year.
