Us'gékollu to be taken under government care

The government is working to bring Us'gékollu, a heritage building managed by the Malé City Council, under state care following an incident where individuals entered and vandalized it with graffiti. Government spokesperson Mohamed Hussain Shareef (Mundhu) stated that the City Council had been requested to hand over the keys to develop an interactive museum at the site two years ago, and they had agreed. He also mentioned that the council is unable to properly maintain the building, necessitating the government's intervention.
