Fazna: MDP won't unite by supporting Nasheed

Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's wife, Fazna Ahmed, stated that agreeing to give former President Mohamed Nasheed the state leadership would not unite the MDP. Fazna made these remarks following the decision of former MP Rozaina Adam, who is aligned with President Solih, to support President Nasheed in the MDP chairperson election. Fazna highlighted that President Nasheed's bid for chairperson was under the banner of a "big change," proposing to give Fayyaz the prime ministership and President Nasheed the state leadership. She argued that a fundamental principle for uniting people is equality, and that a party cannot be united by someone who is biased.
