Group Dua is Permissible, Not Habitual: Fatwa Council

The Fatwa Council has stated that praying in congregation is not problematic in itself. However, they stipulate that it should not be made a habit. This condition is imposed because sometimes people gather solely for the purpose of prayer. If people gather for a specific purpose, such as a lecture or a meeting, and conclude the gathering with a congregational prayer seeking guidance or blessings, it will not be considered an innovation as long as it is not made a habit or considered a specific, timed act of worship.
